InnovativeCityForumINTA will hold a workshop at the Innovative City Forum 2018, on the theme "Why urban and rural territories need solidarity?". The Forum will take place from June 26 to 27, 2018, in Nice, and the workshop on June 27, from 11:30 to 12:30 in the Picasso Room.

Metropolitan territories are economically powerful territories with a supranational dimension, but they should not exclude medium-sized towns, rural or mountainous areas. Digital technology is a valuable tool for elected officials and economic actors who have to ensure the responsible development of territories, according to a principle of territorial equality, or even equity.

Masthead 980x250

The workshop will involve elected officials and operators from Paca, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Ardennes, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, England, Finland, to share French and European experiences on the technological quality of low-density territories such as vectors of experimentation, demonstration and exemplarity integrated into the metropolitan systems engaged in major transitions. The challenge is to enhance the contribution to sustainable development and growth of "metropolitan villages" and their potential for innovation.
