Jacques Gally, INTA Board Member and New Towns expert, participated on Friday 9 March 2018, in a workshop on the “Mohammed VI Green Town” in Ben Guerir in Morocco.
Launched in 2009 by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, in the framework of the great development project of the OCP Group, the“Mohammed VI Green Town” aims to be a world-class university pole. The city should offer attractive and ecological life conditions along with a knowledge ecosystem.
This workshop was organized by the OPC Development Corporation. It addressed five main themes and gathered Moroccan and international experts on attractiveness, inclusion, durability, business model and governance of the New Town project.
At the end of the day, participants proposed orientations and recommendations, especially on operating modes for the implementation and management of such a project.
A roadmap with actions to implement on a short-term basis for the 5 themes was proposed to the project leaders.
