“FROM THE STATE OF HEALTH OF A POPULATION TO THE CHOICE OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE TERRITORY WHERE IT LIVES, THERE IS ONLY ONE STEP. HEALTH IS NOT ONLY THE ABSENCE OF DISEASE OR INFIRMITY, IT IS A COMPLETE STATE OF PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SOCIAL WELL-BEING.”

We propose to enter the subject from the food and agriculture, to question ourselves about the development of our territory.
The Covid 19 pandemic has brutally highlighted the risks incurred by people suffering from diabetes or obesity, two diseases closely linked to the quality of food, reminding us of the importance of the link between food production and consumption on our food systems.
On the other hand, the war in Ukraine, but also climate change (drought and water scarcity) have reminded us of the risks that consumers face if they are too “food dependent”.
So, we all wonder:
- On the quality of our consumption, on the type of agriculture to promote to ensure a healthy and safe supply, but also on the development strategies of our territories in relation to environmental, economic and societal issues.
- In the context of a globalizing economy, what interest do we have in food production systems centered on our territories, what place should be given to them, what actions should be imagined in order to improve their performance and optimize their contribution to the well-being of local populations?
