The Panel, composed of 10 international and 10 local panelists, after having listening a presentation about the main issues of the City of Cáceres done by the head of the process Open Lab Deliberación Urbana which includes the project "Ribera del Marco", went to visit the City of Cáceres and especially the area of the creek Riberal del Marco.

Several projects in progress and the historical centre were visited to understand the connexions of the very diverses areas (modern and historic cities, sciences park and old mining village).

Monday 26 April
On Monday, the Panel had the opportunity to visit the Minimally invasive surgery centre held in the northern area of the City, where the project "Health City" (cluster on health including the new hospital of the province).

 

During all day, they met several stake holders of the City: representatives of the City Council in charge of infrastructures and ICTs, the Director of Cáceres Capital Fundation, gathering the biggest companies of the City and the Commercial Director of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre, part of the project of the cluster "Health City".

During the afternoon, the Panel focused on the planning and the different ongoing urabn projects of the City to understand the physical organisation of the City.

Tuesday 27 April
On Tuesday, the Panel has kept going on interviewing local actors involved in the development of Cáceres in order to have the widest vision of the territory and the social and economic dynamics of the City.

Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 April
The Panel entered in the last days of interviews, receiving institutionnal actors like the Councillor for traffic and transport of the City of Cáceres, the responsible for housing and architecture in the Region of Extremadura, and representative of communities based associations.

The working group sessions started on Wednesday afternoon and followed on Thursday to prepare the proposals which will be held on Friday morning.

The Panel went to visit the Vostell Museum in the surroundings of Cáceres on Thursday afternoon, before the public seminar on international cases.

Friday 30th April
The Panel presented the results of their work in front of the Mayor and inhabitants.
