Ms. Ilona Borowek

I was born in 1978 in Minsk Mazowiecki. After graduating high school in Minsk Mazowiecki I began studies at Poznan University of Economics specializing in European Studies. After graduation I worked as an English teacher and then as a specialist in the Ministry of Economy and Labour and then in the Ministry of Regional Development. I was coordinator of the Phare 2002 project "Preparation of projects for support from ERDF”, I was responsible for assisting the process of increasing the capacity of public administration and final beneficiaries in the use of EU structural funds, especially the European Regional Development Fund. With issues dealing with urban regeneration I am related since 2006, when I began to work in the Department of Regeneration in the Warsaw City Hall. I participated in thepreparation of the pilot study  of Local City Regeneration Program for  Warsaw2005-2013, and then Local City Regeneration Program for  Warsaw.
I was improving my skills both in Poland and other member countries, during the numerous training courses on implementation, management and evaluation of structural funds, preparation of projects applying for funding from the European Union.
