M. Olivier Cormier

Projects Development Director Olivier is leading the cities initiative for France, based in Paris. His main focus areas are marketing analysis of French local public sector, coordination with GE businesses to develop value propositions & innovative projects and to implement commercial activation & communication action plan for the French cities. Before joining GE in August 2009, from 2005 to 2009 he was deputy General Manager, and then President North America of the Invest in France Agency, in charge of promoting France and assisting North American companies in their investments plans for France. Between 2003 and 2005, he worked in the Invest in France Agency headquarters, in Paris, in charge of the coordination with regional and local economic development agencies for the treatment of inward investments projects. Between 1999 and 2002, he was a project director, in charge of the automotive sector, for the Northern France regional economic development agency, assisting car manufacturers (Toyoto, Renault, PSA group) and suppliers (Visteon, Delphi,…) in developing their business in the region. From 1995 to 1999, he started his career as a civil servant for the French Ministry of Transportation. Based in Lille, he was in charge of developing urban mobility master plans for local authorities and of creating new evaluation processes to measure the social, urban and economic impacts of LRT projects. Olivier is graduated from two prestigious engineering schools in France (Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées), and he got a MBA at the College des Ingenieurs in Paris.

Directeur Développement Projets. Au sein de l’équipe GE Corporate France, Olivier Cormier est responsable de l’initiative « villes durables ». À ce titre, il est en charge du marketing auprès des collectivités locales et du développement de projets pilotes dans les domaines de l’énergie, de la mobilité, de la santé, pour répondre aux besoins des villes. Olivier Cormier, 42 ans, diplômé de l'École Polytechnique et de l'École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, a commencé sa carrière au Ministère de l'Équipement en tant que Responsable Déplacements Urbains au CETE Nord Picardie. En 1999, il est entré à l'agence de développement économique du Nord Pas de Calais, en charge du secteur automobile et du traitement des projets d'investissements. Il était depuis 2003 à l'Agence Française pour les Investissements Internationaux où il a occupé différentes fonctions au siège à Paris puis à New York.
